SureClad® Facade System for Local Market Walk Project
Shackerley is to custom-manufacture 1322m2 of SureClad® Ceramic Granite cladding for the £13 million extension of Market Walk in Chorley, just a stone’s throw from our Lancashire manufacturing facility
The cladding will be installed in a honey colourway, with a natural limestone appearance to complement local buildings and public realm improvements.
SureClad® will be installed in combination with Kingspan Facades’ QuadCore™ Karrier Panel - an insulated wall panel system that offers excellent thermal performance, superior fire safety, excellent environmental credentials and an extended service life. The Shackerley SureClad® Access system will be used to install both the cladding and the Kingspan Facades insulated panels.
The 1200 x 600mm SureClad® Ceramic Granite panels required for the project will be fabricated at our ISO 9001:2015 Certified, quality-assured production plant in Euxton. The system will provide a natural stone appearance along with a lightweight and robust cladding solution that is freeze-thaw and UV resistant, resistant to algae growth and graffiti and will not discolour over time.

Porcelain cladding panels manufactured by Shackerley for our Porcelain rainscreen system provide an installation-ready lightweight cladding, with undercut anchors for a mechanical fixed cladding solution that is secure and suitable for any porcelain facade design requirement.
Mechanical fixed facades means each panel is secured with secret fix undercut anchors and produced under factory conditions to achieve the project facade windload requirements
Shackerley’s SureClad® porcelain cladding answers the non combustible cladding requirements of BS EN13501-1. Our porcelain facade system is an A1 rated rainscreen. We offer a choice of A1 rated or A2 rated anti-fragmentation backing, resulting in an A1 rated porcelain facade or A2 S1 D0 cladding system.
