In
areas anticipating heavy pedestrian traffic carrying high levels
of footborne contaminants, a ‘gap’ entrance matting system
is preferable.
A choice of 3mm or 6mm dirt collection gaps is available. The selection
of gap width will depend on the location of the mat.
Sentinel ‘gap’ system matting can be installed in both
conventional matwells and suspended reservoired matting systems.
When the mat is installed within a conventional frame, the dirt will fall between
the ribs and be contained inside the matwell, ensuring that
subsequent visitors do not track the trapped dirt across the matting
and into the building.
When the mat is installed over a suspended matwell system, dirt will fall between
the ribs and be collected inside the reservoir. The system is ideal
for areas where unusually high levels of contamination are anticipated,
such as coastal/beach front areas.
To collect the dirt contained within the matwell, the matting is
simply rolled up to allow cleaning. |
