Ceramic granite rainscreen specialist Shackerley Holdings Group Limited has published a new 52-page brochure to bring its extensive Sureclad range of ceramic granite and crystallised glass ventilated rainscreen facades, carrier systems and prefabrication services to the attention of architects, contractors and their clients.
 The new publication introduces an unrivalled collection of ventilated façade options including the very latest colourways, textures, styles and finishes now. These panels are available in a wide range of formats measuring up to 1250 x 1750mm and from 12 mm up to 30mm thick, providing further aesthetic design opportunities for the specifier.
The brochure reveals the versatility and benefits of the Queen’s Award winning Sureclad system, with its patented undercut anchoring method of providing a safe and secure stress-free mechanical fix (complying with BS 5385 Part 2). It details four specific Sureclad substructure options designed to cater for a wide range of ventilated rainscreen applications, including the innovative Sureclad Access System. As the name suggests, this allows for straightforward removal and replacement of individual façade panels and provides unhindered access to services behind the facade. As façade panels do not need to be installed sequentially, mast climbers and scissor lifts can be used during installation avoiding the need for full-scale scaffolding. Also featured is new Ventirail, a single piece horizontal rail design which greatly simplifies the overcladding of existing buildings that need to be aesthetically enhanced and upgraded thermally and acoustically.
The brochure explains the full range of prefabrication services available, clearly demonstrating how Shackerley can help contractors to fast-track every aspect of the rainscreen installation. Precision panel cutting and specialist undercut drilling and bracketing or ‘strapping’ services are carried out under rigorous quality controlled conditions in the company’s Lancashire factories. Contractors can also opt to have their carrier system prefabricated in large easy-to-install sections. For challenging installations where site access and storage areas are restricted, Shackerley is also available to offer a ‘just in time’ delivery service.
