IN HOUSE SERVICES
Investment in Prefabrication Services
Substantial investment in Shackerley’s Lancashire manufacturing facility has enabled the company to develop a comprehensive service package to architects and other specifiers involved with the exterior envelope.
Ceramic Granite Cutting
Heavy duty, computer controlled, multi-directional bridge saws with laser guidance will precision cut large slabs of ceramic granite into custom made panels of any size up to a maximum of 3.6m long by 2m wide and 160mm thick.

We are frequently asked to work to site measurements on awkward elevations and by carrying out these bespoke cuts in-house we can eliminate costly delays.
We also have a range of finishing facilities where we are able to create ceramic granite slabs with polished, profiled and rounded edges if required.
Tough protective ‘anti-shatter’ fibreglass mesh is applied to the back of each ceramic granite rainscreen slab as a safety measure to prevent loose chippings in the event of damage in situ. This complies with BS 8200.
Precision Drilling
When the slabs are cut to the correct dimensions and meshed we create a precisely measured recess at each corner to accept a sturdy stainless steel anchor, a patented system providing a safe, stress free mechanical fix. All drilling is all done in-house using heavy duty undercut diamond tipped drilling machines

Pre-drilled and meshed panels can then be delivered to site ready for installation with pre-formed straps or brackets mounted to suit the design of the rainscreen carrier system

Quality controls
Strict process controls are followed and orders are carefully monitored as they pass through each stage. A specially designed bar-coding system ensures that we can track all work in progress.
Finished goods are carefully palletised in such a way that the opportunity for damage in transit is minimised and so that the contractors can continue to move their deliveries around on site if necessary.

Ladder System
The Sureclad ‘Ladder’ system is also fabricated at Shackerley’s Lancashire factory.
