Shackerley can supply ceramic granite in a myriad of colour combinations, veined and grained variations, finishes and slab formats.

Colours

This innovative material can be fashioned to replicate the appearance of almost any naturally occurring granite or marble with through-body patterns, veins, grains and rich colouration. Advanced technology has overcome the problem of pattern repetition that so often occurs with other manufactured materials. So while every panel in a Shackerley rainscreen façade offers tonal consistency and integrity of pattern, each individual slab is unique.

Shackerley also offers ceramic granite tiles and slabs in solid monochromatic format, enabling the performance benefits of this exceptional material to be combined with a very contemporary appearance.

Recent developments in ceramic granite manufacturing have also enabled us to offer a new collection of rainscreen slabs which resemble weathered metal, with all the apparent texture and colour variegation you would expect to see on exposed metallic elevations.

Finishes

Ceramic granite slabs are offered in a choice of different surface finishes, depending on the range selected. The choice of finish can have a dramatic impact on the aesthetic appearance of a building, particularly in terms of its reflectivity.

Natural Unpolished (Op)

The ceramic granite is supplied in its natural state

Satin Pre-polish (Prel)

A patented pre-polishing technique is used before the ceramic granite slabs are fired to provide a semi-lustre finish revealing all the veins and grains in the body of the material

Mirror Polish (Lev)

The surface of the slab is abraded with diamond-coated grinding equipment and water to create a brilliant high gloss finish

Metallic finish

The surface of the ceramic granite slab is specially treated to resmble weathered metal

Sizes

Shackerley’s ceramic granite slabs are available in a wide range of sizes to meet different technical and aesthetic specifications. In addition to the conventional 200mm, 300mm and 400mm sizes, slabs can also be supplied in 300 x 600mm, 600 x 600mm, 600 x 1200mm formats and larger if required up to a maximum of 1250 x 1750mm. As Shackerley has its own in-house cutting and prefabricating services, ceramic granite slabs can be cut to almost any size and shape.

The slab size selected could have an impact upon the degree of prefabrication needed, and could also determine the type of Sureclad carrier system required.
